Cabos, Chico, CA
March 26, 1984. Only one set this night, as we were opening for Game Theory and The Rain Parade. I (Pete) remember thinking how well we had played and how receptive the crowd had been, then i settled in to a booth in the back of the club and was absolutely floored by how good the next two bands were - especially The Rain Parade! It was one of those 'wow' moments for me.
This 28th Day set has one of the few recorded versions that i know of, of the song Cyberphobia - a song written by Mike and Pete about the fear of computers and technology. Pretty forward thinking, for 1984.... lol.
The tape recording was started late, so the beginning of Chances Become Electric is cut off, as is the very end of Hate. Other then those two things though, this is an excellent live recording of the band.

the recording was created on a dynamic Maxell cassette, no idea what equipment was used though - although since this was at Cabos, it was probably their house deck which was connected to the sound board. this original cassette was digitally mastered May 2012 by Pete Beck using Audacity 1.3 and Lame Encoder.
