Down Under Pub & Grub, Chico, CA

January 11, 1985. There's quite a noisy, rowdy bar-crowd background to this performance, but the band perserveres. Musically, this is a very tight performance, featuring the final 28th Day line-up. By 1985, Pete had left the band and this is 28th Day in the form that they are most remembered - as a trio, with Barbara on bass. We don't remember much about the Down Under other than it was downtown, underneath the Top Flight Ballroom (3rd and Main) and that the "owners" lived in the attic space above the stage.

There are minor tape problems here in places, but nothing too serious.

- Barbara Manning, vocals and bass
- Cole Marquis, guitar
- Mike Cloward, drums

the recording source is unknown, although from the crowd noise it's pretty obvious that this wasn't a board recording. decent quality though, considering. the original cassette (TDK SA60) was digitally mastered May 2012 by Pete Beck using Audacity 1.3 and Lame Encoder.
